1. Translations
The Embassy of France is competent only for French/Korean or Korean/French translations.
To obtain a certification of translation, please come to the Embassy (at the visa section) on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9h30 to 12h00.
Please bring :
the document that has to be translated
the translation
fee : payment in cash and in KR Wons. For registered French citizens : equivalent of 9 euros. For other citizens : equivalent of 14 euros.
NB : the Embassy of France can perform translations of :
driving licences
documents of civil status (birth act, marriage act...).
For other documents please contact the consular section.
For a translation, the fee is (for a half page) : for registered French citizens : equivalent of 14 euros. For other citizens : equivalent of 18 euros.
2. Acknowledgement of Signature
An Acknowledgement of Signature is a notarial service which verifies that a particular person signed a given document. The Embassy of France can notarize a signature if :
the person is present to sign in front of the consular agent,
the document is written in French (it can contain a translation of the text in Korean or English).
NB : please make an appointment before coming to the Embassy, in order to make sure that a competent Officer will be present to notarize your signature.
Please bring :
the document on which the signature needs to be notarized,
a proof of your ID,
the fee : payment is made in cash and in KR Wons. For registered French citizens : equivalent of 9 euros. For other citizens : equivalent of 18 euros.
3. Certified copy
Please come to the Embassy (at the visa section) on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9h30 to 12h00, with :
the original document,
a copy,
the fee : payment is made in cash and in KR Wons. For registered French citizens : equivalent of 7 euros. For other citizens : equivalent of 14 euros.
