20th anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela : French diplomats recount...

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela, three French diplomats working in South Africa from 1981 to 1995, recount the major events, both tragic and moving, of the country of Apartheid which became democratic and elected a black man as President.

Through the voices of these diplomats, France honors an exceptional man who, released from prison on 11th February 1990 after more than 27 years in jail, fought, with Frederic De Klerk, the hard combat of reconciliation and overcame the hatreds of the past.
